Benjamin Paulus is a Florida native who started his construction career in 2002. He formed his own company, Ben Built, Inc., at the age of 20. Within three years he had framed 150 tract homes.

From 2008 to 2012, he was a contractor working under a federally funded program for Sound Abatement. Homes in Boca Raton, Fort Lauderdale, Stuart and Key West  were modified to comply with noise requirements due to their proximity to nearby airports.

Ben is a Florida State Certified Building Contractor and transitioned into upscale remodeling of local residences. Once he had completed several historic commercial properties he realized that custom trim work could make all the difference in remodeling. His unique approach to detail and the proper selection of wood products, allowed his clients to have a one of a kind cabinet, kitchen or outdoor living space.

In 2018, he co-founded Ohana Outdoor Living, transforming into a new industry focusing on blending the outdoor space into the interior elements of a home. With a growing clientele, he opened a wood shop in Apopka, fueled by Ben's studies of wood and its impact on our world. He proudly uses locally sourced wood and has become a master in carpentry.
